• understand statement made by someone
• retell statement using their own words


Learnings Activities

• receive or draw cards (remote learners have a random generator)
• cards have statements from news, weather or tabloids
• reiterate the statement to the next learner, and then on to the next learner

• Variation:
• receive a number, go in the order based on the number
• Variation or further activity:
• prepare their own statements

• interview each other on their statement in pairs


Teaching Activities

• prepare sentences in advance
• create cards
• share the statement in the chat
• moderate the activity
• make sure learners know when their turn is
• correct mistakes in the statements learners make
• correct grammar mistakes
• assign partners for interview activity


Materials & Tools

• virtual card tool, random generator for statements
• random number generator (can be done with one device, numbers don’t have to be secret)
• if one device but several remote learners: let them interview each other and then report
• if several devices and several people online: pair offline with online students
