• understand and use vocabulary related to personal relationships
• produce vocabulary in appropriate contexts using simple sentences
• mediate information, state opinions, and offer advice
Learnings Activities
• receive three incomplete stories related to personal relationships. Each group member fills in the gaps with missing vocabulary and shares their story with the group
• in pairs, they mediate information. They prepare and relay key information to their partner
• as homework, they write an email giving advice or describe a personal experience involving a problem with a friend/family member
Teaching Activities
• guide the class through filling in vocabulary gaps in the stories
• facilitate spoken mediation, encourage students to share relevant information
• providing examples of how to ask for/give advice in target language
• organising a class discussion where the teacher presents a personal issue and asks students for advice
• monitor group work and provide feedback on grammar and vocabulary
