Content

Conversation activity to practice various real-life situations
Variation: talk show


Learnings Outcomes

• have a conversation about a given topic
• express opinions
• defend their viewpoints


Learnings Activities

• play an assigned role from the situation
• online learners are interpreters helping another party

Variation: Similar set-up as the above
• Classroom learners prepare roles for a talk show
• Remote learners are experts called in to give their opinion

(Alternatively, they can also be regular remote
guests on the show)


Teaching Activities

• prepares necessary phrases and vocabulary etc
• help learners prepare for their roles
• correct learners
• set up camera for exercise

Variation – Same as above
• depending on the group level, can also assume role of talk show host


Materials & Tools

• equal split of remote and classroom learners
• several devices needed if beginner level learners and working in groups
• suitable for smaller classes (large groups may require several rounds)
